From LTE Cat 1bis to 5G eRedCap: Sequans and MultiTech Partner to Accelerate Embedded Cellular IoT Platform Development
Sequans Communications S.A., a leading provider of 5G/4G cellular IoT semiconductor solutions, today announced that MultiTech has selected Sequans as its technology partner to jointly develop future embedded cellular modem platforms. This collaboration will initially utilize Sequans’ Calliope 2 LTE Cat 1bis platform. In the future, it will expand to include Calliope series products supporting 5G connectivity.

The two companies will work together to provide innovative embedded connectivity solutions for critical IoT vertical markets. These include automotive and transportation, industrial and manufacturing, healthcare, smart cities and infrastructure, retail and payment systems, and agriculture. Therefore, they will address unmet needs in these sectors.
