The application scope of Shrink Analyzer is extensive. Store managers can adjust security strategies based on the analysis results provided by the system, enhancing in-store safety. For example, if theft incidents are more frequent on Friday afternoons at 4 p.m., store management can choose to increase security personnel at that time. Additionally, the system can indicate which products are prone to theft or under what conditions and circumstances theft occurs. Retailers can take measures to improve the security of specific products based on this information.
Another key feature of Shrink Analyzer is providing real-time video evidence. When a merchandise loss event occurs, the system can trace back and find relevant video evidence. This evidence can not only be used for potential recovery of lost items but also provided to law enforcement agencies to combat theft.
With the continuous advancement of technology, RFID reader performance is becoming stronger, but the problem of stray reads is also becoming more severe. To address this issue, Shrink Analyzer employs a series of algorithms to filter out radio frequency noise and only capture tag reads when merchandise leaves the store. These algorithms can identify tags leaving the store and correlate tag reads with video, greatly improving the accuracy and reliability of the data.
In addition to Shrink Analyzer, Sensormatic also offers a range of other features, such as metal foil detection and RFID Seam tags. Metal foil detection can identify and prevent people carrying metal foil from entering the store at the entrance, thus preventing them from using metal foil to shield RFID signals. RFID Seam tags are a new type of tag that can be directly embedded in clothing, providing clothing retailers with a better anti-theft solution.
