At 14:00 on the afternoon of August 28, the afternoon session of "IOTE 2024 Shenzhen RFID Passive Internet of Things Ecological Seminar" officially began. The morning speeches were mainly technical, and the afternoon sessions mainly focused on the application of RFID in various industries. Many audiences continued to participate in this knowledge feast.

The first speaker was Zeng Zhihua, Chairman of Guangdong Zhongshifa Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. He said that the era of retail 4.0 has quietly arrived. In this era, consumers are no longer passive participants in shopping behaviors, but have been shaped into the core of consumer scenarios. The smart retail solution supported by RFID technology will give unlimited possibilities to the transformation of modern retail industry and provide more abundant imagination space. SRS AI smart retail launched by Zhongshifa is an RFID retail overall solution integrating smart retail, smart warehousing and store management. By attaching RFID tags to the goods in retail stores to give a unique ID, combined with hardware and software, it can realize the overall linkage of people, goods and venues, break through the barriers between roles, and realize the digital transformation and upgrading of the traditional retail industry.

The second speaker was Lea Yang, senior product marketing and business development director of NXP Semiconductors Greater China. She first introduced NXP Semiconductors and its development history in the NXP Chinese market. After that, she analyzed the opportunities and challenges of the circular economy and smart logistics market: CO2 emissions in the logistics industry account for 10% of China's total CO2 emissions, and the circular economy is expected to reduce emissions by 40%. NXP can provide a variety of technologies to promote smart logistics, such as using RFID to achieve efficient inventory management and solve the waste of disposable packaging and the recycling and sharing of recyclable vehicles, reducing vehicle asset losses. In order to achieve efficient and sustainable development, smart logistics requires a strong partner ecosystem. NXP also hopes to cooperate with more industry partners to empower the circular economy.

The next speaker was Ke Jin, industry director of Fujian Newland Automatic Identification Technology Co., Ltd. He said that Newland, based on the company's self-developed module algorithm, deeply analyzed the pain points and solutions in the RFID project of enterprise services, and through innovative application scenarios, comprehensively reduced costs and increased efficiency for customers. He took the application of RFID in material management cabinets as an example. The traditional meter cabinet management has low efficiency, large workload, and inconvenience in finding. Newland has perfectly solved the pain points through anti-cross-reading filtering algorithms, fixed read-write terminals and near-field antenna solutions. Finally, Mr. Ke also introduced Newland's strong self-developed strength and RFID product matrix. At present, Newland's self-branded products have been sold all over the world, with overseas business accounting for more than 50%. It provides a wealth of customized solutions for many Fortune 500 companies and has won the trust of customers in more than 100 countries and regions around the world.

The fourth speaker was Liu Xinghua, vice president and general manager of the retail business department of Shenzhen Yuanwanggu Information Technology Co., Ltd. He said that in today's digital age, RFID technology is becoming a key driving force for the transformation of the retail industry. RFID can realize the rapid identification and tracking of goods, greatly improving the efficiency of inventory management. By grasping the inventory situation in real time, merchants can replenish goods more accurately and reduce out-of-stock phenomena. In the sales process, it can increase the checkout speed and improve the customer experience. For example, there is no need to scan the code one by one, and the whole basket of goods can be identified instantly. Moreover, RFID helps to combat theft and ensure the safety of goods. Finally, Mr. Liu also showed everyone the RFID solutions implemented by Invengo for many well-known retail brands, demonstrating Invengo's excellent project implementation capabilities.

The next speaker was Ma Yan, department manager of Beijing Zhixin Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. He said that the passive Internet of Things can be self-sufficient using environmental energy such as solar energy and radio frequency energy, showing low power consumption, ultra-long life and excellent adaptability, providing unprecedented solutions for complex scenarios in power systems with difficult wiring or limited grid access. He said that Zhixin Micro focuses on the in-depth exploration and research of key technologies of the passive Internet of Things, and presented a series of practical cases to show how the passive Internet of Things can be seamlessly connected with the new power system: from improving operation and maintenance efficiency to ensuring grid security, from promoting the development of green energy to realizing the vision of energy Internet, the passive Internet of Things is leading us towards a new era of smarter, greener and more sustainable power in its unique way.

Next, Xiang Haiquan, deputy general manager of Beijing Hongcheng Innovation Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a vivid speech. He focused on the typical application scenarios in the field of biosafety, such as blood safety monitoring, bacterial (virus) strain preservation, and biological sample management, as well as the opportunities and challenges for UHF RFID technology. At the same time, he introduced the technical difficulties and related product solutions that Beijing Hongcheng Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. has overcome in these scenarios, and looked forward to the future application of UHF RFID in the field of biosafety. Finally, Hongcheng Innovation also sincerely invites suitable RFID upstream and downstream partners to cooperate, because after overcoming the difficulties of RFID application in blood management and gaining customer recognition, the company has ushered in good market development opportunities.

The seventh speaker was Liang Kui, general manager of Guangzhou Chenkong Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. He introduced the difficulties of RFID application in the 4680 large cylindrical lithium battery production line: the maximum deviation of the on-site battery cup frequency is 2.42MHz, which does not meet the normal sales level. The built-in label of the cup is a traditional winding coil, which is easily affected by various external factors such as glue curing process, falling and collision, etc., resulting in coil deformation, thereby causing the resonant frequency to deviate, and it is difficult to ensure frequency consistency. The Morning Control RFID+cup holder matching solution is a self-developed customized ring PCB tag, which is integrally molded with the cup holder, with high consistency of antenna induction value, and the frequency is adjusted according to the actual application before leaving the factory and fully inspected with a network analyzer. The cup holder has 360° recognition and is suitable for reading in high-speed motion, which can achieve a production line efficiency of 300PPM, a high reading rate, and no missed reading or cross-reading.

At the end of the forum, a signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation agreement on digital packaging between Pragmatic and Jinjia Group was held. Jinjia Group and Pragmatic Semiconductor officially announced the conclusion of a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will jointly open a new chapter in the innovative application of flexible chip technology in the field of digital packaging through the deep integration of RFID flexible chips, electronic tags and digital packaging projects.
