This collaboration demonstrates theintegration of e-paper and IoT technologiesand highlights thefuture growth and market potential of e-paper in connected applications.
What is E-Paper
E-paper (electronic paper)is abistable display technologythat does not emit light on its own, but relies onambient light reflectionto form images. It canretain images permanently even when powered off, offering a display effect close to that ofnatural paper. E-paper featuresultra-thin and lightweight designs, rewritable capabilities, portability, andreduced eye strain, making it ideal for reading and information display.
Today, e-paper has been widely applied across industries such ase-book reading, new retail, education, transportation, healthcare, industrial, civil aviation, logistics, and office applications, gradually replacing traditional paper. It supportsrecyclabilitywhile enablingdigitalization and smart IoT integration. By 2020,e-paper shipments had exceeded 800 million units, driving anoverall industry output exceeding hundreds of billions of RMBacross the upstream and downstream supply chain.
Applications and Market Potential
E-paper products now span multiple fields, includingnew retail, education, healthcare, transportation, logistics, mobile devices, and wearable technology. Large-format e-paper, in particular, is becoming a key enabler forsmart city construction.
Benefiting from the global deployment of5G, big data, and IoT, thee-paper industry and IoT ecosystemare poised forsubstantial growth, offering significant opportunities for innovation and market expansion.uture growth and market potential of e-paper in connected applications.
